These are pretty pointless and I doubt many people really care, so I'm posting our predictions for the 2008 season here on a Sunday evening. Guess I just wanted to have them documented somewhere so I can look back after the season and laugh about how horribly wrong I was.
Feel free to tear them apart.

I wish Go-Go was a rookie. If he was, I think he'd win the ROY award with his speed.
You'd be right to think that Gomez will steal plenty of bases. The problem is, even if he was eligible, I don't think he would do enough of anything else to beat out the competition. In fact, Gomez probably can use some more time in the minors. Regardless, he isn't the kind of player like a Longoria, who's tools are all ready to go and will come up hitting away. Instead, it will likely be some time before fans start seeing all of Gomez's skills.
Interesting that both of you have RoY picks that will be starting the season in the minors (Longoria and Bruce), while Gomez, who is perhaps less prepared than both, will be starting in the big leagues.
It really speaks to the lack of alternatives for the Twins...or perhaps their desire to show fans they got something in return for Santana.
It also speaks to two other factors for those decisions - for one, Tampa Bay wants to wait until May, a la the Brewers with Braun last year, so that they get another year of service out of Longoria. As for Bruce, you can look at who his manager is. Need those great vets like Patterson.
