Update: Twins/Rays Close To Deal
It appears that yesterday's reports of a deal being imminent between Twins and Rays were correct, although not the part about Boof Bonser being involved. A deal is reportedly in place that will send Matt Garza, Jason Bartlett and Juan Rincon to the Rays in return for outfielder Delmon Young, shortstop Brendan Harris and outfielder Jason Pridie. This is a blockbuster, folks. Much more analysis tomorrow.

Looks like they didn't want Rincon so we gave them Morlan instead....
What the hay!!! What is management thinking? K so you give up one of the better pitching prospects in baseball. You do get one of the top prospects in baseball, but one that is not afraid to throw bats at umps!!! The Rays won this trade hands down. Everyone has talked about the biggest loss to the Twins in Torii Hunter deal being his presence in the clubhouse. So what do the Twins do? Oh yeah they go pick up some hot head that is one bad move away from never playing again, which he already shouldn't be in my opinion. This is ridiculous!!! I don't care how great a talent he is, Garza was up there as a talent as well, and to pick up a bat throwing goon that just so happens to be a good baseball player shows no class by management.
Don't hold the bat toss against Young too much Kris. It was a stupid mistake, but it's in the past. He's a great talent. That part of the deal I like. The Harris/Pridie for Bartlett/Morlan part is another story...
