Congrats on the new blog. Can't wait to read it this season.

Ok, I rarely comment but I've had enough.

I get that you four are great bloggers and I also understand that you're all a little different in the way you write about the game, but give some of the other bloggers a break or at least link to them on the Twins Centric page (it's the very LEAST you could do). Your guys' intentions are great, honestly, but like the old saying goes, "you're killing the little man." You're taking a lot of viewers away from other bloggers and it's really not fair. There are several other Twins bloggers that deserve attention, but they don't whore themselves and instead gain respect through their work. You three all certainly have done great work and I truly appreciate the effort that you guys have made, but if you think you're helping other Twins bloggers, you're wrong. You're making them irrelevant. And while you guys asked for help in the Twins Annual this year, which looks like it should be great by the way, I'll bet my bottom dollar that most of the other writers won't be in it again next season and instead you four will probably ask one or two other people (like Doogy or PMac) to help you out, leaving other hard-working Twins bloggers out in the cold.

This isn't to say you shouldn't jump at these opportunities, but I also think you guys could do a better job at incorporating other Twins blogs into your work. The Twins have one of the greatest blogging communities, I could attest to this because I'm a White Sox fan, but it's hard to recognize anyone anymore with you four taking in all of the limelight.

Honestly, Nick, I am very happy for the four of you, but don't forget your roots. Remember what it was like a few years ago when you wanted to "catch your break." I know Twins Centric is new, but you guys are using it as an excuse to say that you're better than other bloggers just as much as you're using it to deliver content. Be proud, but also make sure to give more credit to other Twins blogs. I don't mean to sound harsh, and while I'm sure you will, don't write back before thinking about it a little.

Take care and good luck in the future. Should be a fun year.

Kyle, I understand your frustration but there are a few things you need to understand.

The TwinsCentric blog has existed for exactly one day. I assure you that we fully intend to use it as a platform to showcase other blogs and link outside of our own. It takes time to establish these things.

Basically every time we have a meeting and discuss a new venture, this is a preeminent talking point. How can we incorporate other bloggers into this? How can we make this something that will benefit the blogosphere as a whole?

John and Seth were among the very first people to create popular Twins blogs, and their willingness to reach out to newer and lesser-known bloggers is a huge part of the reason that ours has into developed such a large and strong blogging community. John's work with the GameDay program has allowed many, many lesser-known writers to see their work published and sold outside of the Metrodome. His creation of the Twins Territory site several years ago basically spawned Twinkie Town, which is now one of the Internet's largest and best communities for Twins fans. And we reached out to over a dozen writers -- some lesser-known -- for the Annual, which I'm sure we will do again next year should we choose to take on that venture again.

I guess I just don't understand what you'd like us to do at this point. "Give some of the other bloggers a break or at least link to them on the TwinsCentric page"? Are you talking about the TwinsCentric Star Tribune page, for which we didn't even create the list of sidebar links (Strib did)? Or are you talking about TwinsCentric.com, which is still in development and itself is not even linked from the Star Tribune blog? I know that my sidebar features tons of links to other Twins blogs. I know that Seth links to about 15 Twins-related blog postings every single day on his blog. I know that John helped create the RSS feed on MNGameDay.com which I've used as a conduit to find tons of great new blogs, and which others like yourself can use as well.

I appreciate the thoughtful comment but if you're complaining about other bloggers being snubbed or cast aside, I think you're directing your complaints to the wrong place. I assure you it's a major priority for us, even if that's not clear on the very first day we launch a new project.

As a Twins blogger, I couldn't disagree with Kyle more. The four of you have been very willing to help out other Twins bloggers, my self especially.

Kyle, success doesn't come immediately and if you're worried because you'd like to start a blog or know someone that has one, do know that you need to also take your own responsibility to reach out and talk to other bloggers and that over time, good things could very well happen.

Great job, Nick. You guys deserve it. Congrats on the new gig and thanks for letting me be apart of the Twins Annual.

Josh & Nick - You both helped put things into perspective.

Josh, I enjoy reading your site and one of your posts that you wrote on the Chicago White Sox last summer was outstanding (I saw it at MLBTR). I hope that they incorporate you and Seth Speaks into more projects (yes, I know Seth is part of the "Twins Centric" bunch). Both of you have outstanding knowledge of the Twins farm system and I think you deserve more credit than you get.

Nick, I thank you for your response. I appreciate that you guys have incorporated Twins bloggers into some of your projects. I also want to apologize for sounding so unglued in my first comment. Good luck in the future, I sincerely mean that.

Sorry for sounding rude. I read a lot of AL Central blogs and I will say that the Twins have the best blogosphere I've seen.

Take care,

Ky
