It was just a matter of figuring out which team would actually get a *hit* with runners in scoring position. As it turned out, it was the Twins. But the Royals had opportunities, too, which they did not capitalize on.thisisbethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08764018111806835434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11215059.post-35567987837102484282007-04-28T03:31:00.000-05:002007-04-28T03:31:00.000-05:00I suppose so. I guess my point is that ever since Punto returned to the lineup after missing some time with a sprained ankle, he has been pretty decent at the plate. Bartlett hasn't exactly been lighting the world on fire lately, and is only hitting .222 overall. I really don't think there's a whole lot of difference between Punto and Bartlett at this point, which is why I say that replacing Punto with Bartlett in the 2-hole would make a negligible difference.Nick N.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00848574337121154690noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11215059.post-61419158056251598262007-04-27T20:16:00.000-05:002007-04-27T20:16:00.000-05:00If you go back a little further to the last 2 week...If you go back a little further to the last 2 weeks:

Bartlett .325 BA, .761 OPS
Punto .229 BA, .622 OPS

It's all in how you look at itRay Felix, IIIhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08579656540833115909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11215059.post-84111676078010281422007-04-27T16:40:00.000-05:002007-04-27T16:40:00.000-05:00Punto is an automatic out at this point. I think Bartlett would make a fine #2 hitter (I even said he'd do fine at leadoff) after Casilla. I also think it is time he gets moved up in the batting order and time for Punto to be moved down. This should help a liitle with offense.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
